A high stakes science fiction adventure
The intriguing title and stunning cover was what first drew me in - I instantly knew it was sci-fi - and I stayed for the synopsis! It sounds like something I'd love - thorny palace politics, characters running a con with life-or-death stakes and the opportunity for some imaginative world-building on this new planet across the galaxy.
The excerpt so far has impressed me with little excerpts from fictional handbooks, light references to high-tech accessories and an interesting dialect of English spoken by the first person Andra meets on this new planet, which all create a great sense of atmosphere. I look forward to reading more!
