I am sure that this book is a grand adventure that a lot of people would find exciting and entertaining, but this book was not for me. It simply could not keep my attention. It has unfortunately been a while since I read this book and should have reviewed much sooner. I would not say that this is not a recommended book, but I do not think this genre will be for me in the future.
My primary concern was that it was not very flushed out with the characters. The story was very plot/event driven and I tend to care more about the characters. I felt that the action took over the rest of the novel. However, some may find this a page turner. I think my greatest conclusion from this reading process is that I may have a bias toward fast paced, adventure books and that I may not be the best reviewer for this genre. I can see where others would find this very entertaining, but I could not bring myself to complete the read.
