I was really excited to read this book because it was the first book I have won from bookish first but it was not for me. I was excited for it to be from an award winning author and it seemed like it was going to be good from the first look.
I read the first fifty pages but just could not get into it. It was in a setting in India and I really couldn't visualize it. The sister and brother in the book seemed like they had a nice relationship but something terrible happened to their parents and now they have to figure out how to survive without them. I think maybe other people who are more into historical fiction will enjoy this and if they enjoy this early time period. I wish I had been more into it, but I think others will enjoy it more than I did.
