The book was very interesting- it seems to be a fantasy novel with different perspectives telling a story that's interwoven. From a child fleeing with a princess, to a unbeknownst future queen pushing back against her studies, to a jaded bounty hunter following a trail of missing children- this book has it all.
The writing style isn't too overly-descriptive to make the scenes too elongated but still allows an aesthetic to come through so that you can fill in the blanks. The writing focuses on characters and motivations first and foremost- bias, prior knowledge, suspicion, etc. is heard loud and clear. As you read- you, yourself the reader gets to ask questions about what's happening outside the knowledge of the characters.
I was left on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait to hear what happened next.
