I am usually not one to pick-up YA fantasy, but all of the buzz around this book had me excited to read it. I grabbed the full book after reading the sample posted here on Bookish First.
If you are intimidated by large books, please know that this is a quick read despite the size. I was able to get through at least 50 pages a day, until the end when I had 200 pages left and couldn't stop until I knew the ending!
The world-building is complete and believable. Love books with strong female characters and shifting perspectives, so this was right up my alley. I did prefer the Rielle chapters those featuring Eliana, which I suspect may be an issue for me in the continuation of the series.
