I was drawn to this book almost instantly. The cover is so beautiful and it just draws you in. I wanted to read this book because I honestly wanted to know what the title "Furyborn" meant.
I will be honest when I say I didn't love the back and forth of the point of view. Every other chapter really wore me down, but it did keep me going at a fast pace because I had to know what was happening to the character I was currently reading, and didn't want to switch. I had a hard time not skipping a few chapters here and there.
I instantly fell in love with the characters. I fell in love with Audric and Simon right away. The way that Legrand writes the mystery around Simon keeps you coming back for more. It was impossible to not just jump right into Kingsbane, and vice versa with Lightbringer.
Definitely a series I will be recommending. Whitty banter and the perfect amount of spice make this super easy to devour.
