It caught me as a book that will will keep me turning pages

This is a fantasy book about two women fighting for their empire and they don’t know what the right side of the war is. I love that Rielle is fighting for her friend in the beginning of the book and that shows she has a strong bond and is willing to go to great lengths for the ones she loves. When Eliana is introduced, she seems like a character who is not aware of the struggles and the power struggles in the empire. She is just trying to do what is best for her mom. I will love to see the path she takes which shows that even though these two women are on opposites sides of the war, their fighting for the same cause in a way that binds them. I also love the excitement behind Rielle’s abilities and that shows I have a lot to look forward to in a great fantasy book.
