First, I want to start with a brief overview of my thoughts while reading this book:

Omg.

Omg!

OMG!!!

I had high (like, sky high) expectations for this book because I heard amazing things about this book from fellow bloggers pre-release. With that much amazing press, I was crossing my fingers and hoping that it would meet at least some of what I expected. An interesting story, one or two characters that I like reading about, a fun setting—any of those would work.

But not only did Furyborn live up to the hype, it exceeded it.

*wipes forehead* Whew!

When I sat down to read this book, it became clear very quickly that I needed to put the rest of the day on hold. I didn’t move, and I maybe kind of forgot to eat—oops!

It’s rare I have a book with dual points of view or timelines that connect with me. Usually I find myself rushing through one section to get to the character whom I really love. But with Furyborn, I loved both Rielle and Eliana’s sections. Not only did the characters themselves grip me, but the side characters from each sold me on the story. Eliana’s brother was great, as was Ludivine from Rielle’s story.

My favorite part was that this book had me guessing throughout. Sure, I had some theories that proved to be correct, but in the end most were wrong and there were twists I never even imagined! I have more questions left than I have answers, and I cannot wait to see where this series goes! (I anticipate heartbreak.)

There is so much I want to say about this book, but I also want to keep this review spoiler free sooooooo *shrugs*. I look forward to the next book in this trilogy, and in the meantime I plan on reading some of Claire Legrand’s past work because I just need more!
