This book was wonderfully written, the style of writing one that, to me at least, was highly captivating and drew you into a wonderfully spun out world.
It does hold a lot of typical YA tropes, but I've always been a firm believer that as long as tropes are done well, why should it matter if it's been used time and again? Especially since the tropes I noticed used were not the ones that make me roll my eyes and lose interest.
Also, I need to take a moment to appreciate that cover... That is a stunning cover, and as someone who loves their bookshelves to be aesthetic as well as full of worlds and adventures I fully enjoy, I am hoping to one day soon add this book to said collection.
