Furyborn by Claire Legrand has to be one of the most anticipated novels of 2018. There are a lot of elements about the book that call out to readers such as two strong female leads that transcend some gender stereotypes and it’s an action filled book that fits perfectly in the YA genre. I really liked the Legrand created the narratives of her main characters, Rielle and Eliana, as a series of flashback sequences. It's rare to find females in such active roles within literature and it was gratifying to read about how Rielle and Eliana took it upon themselves to take charge of their own lives despite the various hardships they endured.
