Fury-born is about two different girls, with two very different lives. There’s Rielle Dardenne, who is able to wield all seven magical powers, and when the kingdom finds out she is forced to win seven magical trials or be executed. Eliana Ferracora, forced to hunt rebels for the empire. Even though their stories take place thousands of years apart this book shows how these two women are actually connected through a prophecy about two queens who will change the world. I liked this book but I didn’t love it. I thought the characters were great, I personally really like morally grey or ambiguous characters but I know they’re not for everyone, the premise and the writing I think was well done and creative, but I just couldn’t really get into it. I don’t think it’s because the book was bad or there’s something wrong with it, I just think that it wasn’t the boom for me, and that’s okay. I think there are lots of people out there that will love this book.
