The way the story starts with a queen screaming and a boy named Simon in the closet (teehee)
Furyborn starts of with a hit and I can only assume ends with a bang. The writing style is so attentive to detail, but not too much detail that you are swarmed with information all at once. The imagery is great, the plot set up is absolutely on pointe and the characters have very discernable personalities (something I appreciate but maybe others don't?)
I honestly cannot wait to see what happens next.
I think that we have the next best young adult fantasy writer! Move over Sarah J. Maas, Leigh Bardugo and Samantha Shannon: Here comes Claire Legrand!
