While it took just a bit to really get into this book and get an understanding of what was going on, once I read a few chapters I had a very hard time putting it down. The switching back and forth in time was well done and was not confusing at all. It actually kept me reading way past my bedtime. I liked the big twist, although I did figure it out a bit before the reveal. I did feel as though the trials got a little tedious and repetitive, but it did not affect my enjoyment of the book.
I enjoyed the characters as well as the story.
The author does a very good job of building a fascinating world with characters that it is easy to care about. I would definitely recommend this book, and am interested to see what happens next.
