My first impression of this book is that it values heritage, which is something I think is kind of lacking in most YA fiction. 'Respect the past and it will reward you' resonates through the very soul of this story. I love everything about it: the gorgeous cover, the strong women, the plot, and I absolutely can't wait to read it in its entirety.
