So first of all, I dig books that are from a less-heroic protagonist's perspective. The few pages we get were definitely not enough to satisfy, and I'm dying to know what happens next.
I especially like the pace of the worldbuilding. I love it when authors reveal details in a way that feels natural, without large, chunky paragraphs about "this is how this world works."
