There is a lot of action in the start of this novel, and enough mystery built on past events to keep a reader interested. There seems to be a great story to unfold and enough creative imagery to spark a world that once you get into will be hard to get out of. The fight between the queen and king, leads me to think there is definitely more than meets the eye. I also enjoy anything with varying time frames. It helps out with reader fatigue when you are given bits and pieces.
