Furyborn opens with a fast-paced scene that throws the reader into the world -- no long-winded explanations or infodumps here, just solid world-building through the intensity of the action. By forty pages in, the reader is begging to know more about the strong women characters and the world they live in. Furyborn promises much in the opening pages -- and I look forward to reading it to see if those promises are fulfilled.
