I will admit, the title and the cover image caught my attention, enough to want to check out the blurb about the storyline. I am glad I gave the book a chance with this 'preview' as I am more than just a bit intrigued! I am hooked and very much want to know the rest of the story, especially about Simon. I am always interested in stories that involve magic, medieval/renaissance times, fantasy and fantastical creatures and more -- and this book seems to definitely fill those criteria. The writing is top notch, with very description details. The story gets you from the first sentence, and keeps you wanting to know more.
