This imaginative fantasy novel is clearly going to be an adventure. The action starts on page one with a young boy named Simon witnessing the death of the current queen--a queen whose story we are clearly only just learning. I'm incredibly intrigued by the world and the magic system and especially the interplay of the two storylines taking place over a thousand years apart. I absolutely can't wait to read more and discover what's waiting for me in Celdaria.
