The first thing that brought me here was the blurb. The cover did catch my eye, but I wasn’t too inclined just by that alone as other stories have more vivid ones.

However, this one had a blurb that set my up to go book hunting. There was fantasy, an empire to be ruled, an empire to be taken, relations to be mended and destroyed, and characters to be broken, to be shown that sometimes there is nothing, but you must fight anyways, only to find that perhaps, in the end, there was reason, it was worth it, fighting for the future.

When I read the sample, I quite loved that it started with blood (and hope that it will end the same). I enjoyed that not only was there promise of furthering the world building, but also the characters in their diverse way of speaking and, in some cases, their relations to others as I could depict a few different ones.

Overall, while I did notice there was a myriad of info being somewhat dumped, I did see the promise of action, thrills, and most importantly, adventures waiting to be read and I am in suspense.
