This sounds like it is shaping up to be the epic YA fantasy of the year! I keep hearing the hype and this opening excerpt certainly backs it up, as does this gorgeous cover. Both Rielle and Eliana seem to be strong, complicated characters I am sure to love and root for as their storylines develop. The generational time gap between the two women will make for great storytelling as we find out how their world have changed over time and how they both fight for what they believe in.
