Loved this book. What a wonderful mama Kate is. This book is a testament to her love and commitment to all her children, but especially to sweet Cooper, her first born child diagnosed with Autism. At times heartbreaking, it's also uplifting, so you will both laugh and cry. I do follow her blog but this book goes into so many more details, starting with meeting her husband. Its crazy how much they went through just to get Cooper correctly diagnosed. Kate is a powerhouse of a mother, a force to be reckoned with, and she has gone and will continue to go to great lengths to advocate for her precious boy. He has made wonderful progress through his parents love and determination to give him the best life, and he can now communicate more with them, and is even able to speak some words despite being diagnosed as non-verbal!
I'm so happy to have read this book. You don't need to be a special needs parent to appreciate and learn from Kate and her precious family, everyone should read this.
