I am wary of how autism is going to be treated in this novel and by the first impression, my worries are not alleviated. Autism is not a disease or something that needs to be cured. Often, family members of people with autism will hijack the narrative of living with an autistic person and make it out as a struggle or something. I'm not autistic so I cannot speak on the quality of the representation here but this worries me.
