First off, the cover of this book is everything. It is what initially drew me in to checking out the first look. Second, after reading the blurb, I knew that this was my kind of story. I love reading stories from the perspective of a culture not my own. So learning through a new culture combined with a drug-crime murder mystery, this checks all the boxes! The first look had some good writing so I am excited to see what comes next.
