This excerpt was long, and got me even more hooked through the nine chapters of character building! Daunis is a young woman of the Ojibwa nation. She straddles two worlds, balancing her culture and everything else going on in her life. We get to know Daunis in the first nine chapters, and I, personally, cannot see how things go with her new love interest, Jamie! Does it work out with him? What happens?! She also works with others to root out crime and corruption in her community. The perfect blend of light romance and intrigue! I can’t wait to learn what happens to Daunis!
