Powerful and Culturally Significant Debut

I am so fascinated by this debut! I was lucky enough to be able to watc this author talk about her book and I was able to ask a question and have her answer it. I am glad this book has brought forth the native culture, which I think is lacking in ya literature, and is so needed. Daunis has an interesting storyline being undercover and trying to figure out the deaths by using her knowledge of chemistry and traditional medicine. The first look was incredible and I can't wait to read what happens next!
