I first saw Reagan from Peruse Project talk about this book and when I saw an opportunity to read a sneak peek, I jumped at it. This was a blessing and a curse all in one. A blessing because I thoroughly enjoyed the writer's style. Her words just seemed to flow off the paper and nothing felt forced at all. I connected with the main character, Daunis, and how she was adjusting to her New Normal (and given 2020 and now 2021, I think we can all relate to having a New Normal). It's a curse because now I have to wait for the book to be released. I was so frustrated when I reached the end of the excerpt!
I thought the coverage was gorgeous and original. The colors are so vibrant and I can honestly say I don't have any other book on my shelf with a cover quite like this one.
