First, I am a sucker for a great cover. I love the way that the colors and artwork immediately invoke a native/indigenous feel, yet still feel fresh and current.
Our main character, Daunis, is strong willed yet kind, and going through a lot of changes in her life simultaneously. I love that she is so relatable and the way Boulley draws us into her world of hockey, Indigenous practices and family drama. I NEED to find out what happens to Daunis, Lily & Travis, and of course I need to know if Jamie's girlfriend is real or fake.
