Wow, this story hits the bull’s eye for me! As someone who is biracial but has had the many privileges associated with whiteness, I identify strongly with the main character, Daunis.
It was a surprisingly long First Impression but this made for an extremely strong excerpt. Overall, I would not be surprised if this ends up just as big as The Hate U Give.
