I was really fascinated by this first look and very eager to read more. I read a lot of young adult literature, but I have to say this one seemed different from anything I've ever read. The main character has such an identity already showing through, and I felt dropped right in to a very crucially important time in her life. Her relationships are intense and unique right away, which makes them very intriguing and makes me want to see more of these other characters too. I'm very eager to see where this story goes from here.
