Immediately I was drawn to the cover of this book and the intro to the story. Once I started reading, I was not disappointed.
Daunis attempts to reconcile the two cultures she lives in: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan
She dreams of being a doctor, she also has ambitious hopes for her future, but she has chosen to postpone her plans to go to college because of her maternal grandmother who is recovering from a stroke.
