I’m so excited to find a novel focusing on a modern Native experience! Daunis is a strong and smart young women whose identity is constantly pulled in two different directions. She has a great voice in the story so far and her relationships with both sides of her family, as well as her friends and community, are dynamic and loving. Even if it is a complicated sort of love. This snip of the begging of the story is a real cliff hanger and I can’t wait to see where it goes!
