I really enjoyed this first look! The story opens beautifully, immediately introducing major themes of family, grief, and love. I really love how this story discusses tough issues such as family problems. Like Daunis says, things don't always go according to the Plan. This book tackles these real life issues while being centered around culture. It stands out from typical YA books as it mixes genres. This book is just as beautiful as its stunning cover.
