Daunis recently graduated from high school and had plans to attend University of Michigan as a pre-med student Unfortunately, a family tragedy causes her to stay home in Sault St. Marie. I was excited to see the setting o this book because I live in the Northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan and this takes place not too far north. I am also intrigued by the Ojibwe references and am looking forward to learning more.
