This book was absolutely beautifully written. The descriptions were so realistic that you could practically see the streets, you could definitely smell the food, and you could hear the bustle and the chaos. I wish you could rate the author individually on different aspects of the book, because for that alone she should get five stars. However, that being said, the story could still use some tightening up. There's a lot of information that could be removed from the story that was superfluous - beautifully written, but ultimately didn't move the story forward. If the story was tightened a bit more I could see giving it a 4-5 easily. I received this ARC through a Goodreads giveaway, so there's definitely still time for more edits. Other than that, it's a beautiful story and Callaghan gave it the rich attention it deserved.
