Father of Lions by Louise Callaghan is a true story but the way it was written from different people’s accounts, it reads like a narrative - like a novel. The cover of this book is magnificent. At first I thought it was kind of busy, but after reading the book, I love it. Any book that can tell the story of people living in such horrible situations - like living under the ISIS regime, is an important book because we see the REAL, human stories. That’s one thing I still think about even though it’s been years since I read The Zookeeper’s Wife. Anyway, captivating and remarkable story. I appreciated the list of people at the beginning and also the Postscript and the section of sources at the end. I love well-researched nonfiction!
