I was so excited to receive an Advance Review Copy of this book! It was a completely wild plot...imagine realizing you have feelings for your late best friend's boyfriend, and then figuring out that he might like you too?? How can that plot line not pull you in immediately? I'm also a complete sucker for any book (especially in the YA genre) that involves a diary or journal--or whatever source of information--from a character who is no longer around to engage in present-day dialogue. I just think that's such a cool way to learn about a character, and it challenges you as a reader to figure out how you feel about the character and what's going on with them, from the different perspective of them being gone now. The mystery element of this book was terrific. I appreciated that it was not just a flashy sell for the plot but there was some real substance behind it in terms of the story line. Definitely should be on your TBR list!
