The book immediately grabbed my attention. I was hooked and determined to peel the layers of an onion back to understand the backstory of Ella, Hayley, and Sawyer. Every time you thought you were in calmer waters of the story, another wave quickly creeps up on you and takes you under water once again. Really enjoyed this book and hope it turns into a movie if that's what the author desires!
There are two things about the book that I felt like could have been better:1. Is there an emotional relationship between Ella and Sawyer or is it just teenage hormones and obsessions? If the latter, I feel like that's not great for teenage to read because not everyone has healthy role models for relationships and could think the obsession and physical behavior is healthy.2.The POVs of Ella, Hayley, and Sawyer all seemed to be similar rather than have them each be a distinct outlook/style.
Other than that, I would very much recommend this book. I read 50 pages the first night, 50 pages the second night, and 200 pages the following night because I couldn't put it down. (I was super tired from work the first two nights or else I would have probably read it all in one sitting.)
