First off! Why would Hayley’s mom(an adult) ask Ella to pack up her daughter’s room! As a teen, I could not imagine packing up my dead best friends belongings and now as a parent, I would not for the life of me bring myself to ask that of a child. But we’ll get back to that!
The vibe of the exert flowed so well, almost as if youre living Ella’s life. And I know that is the point of diving into a book but Holy Thor, my heart is shattering in just the first few pages!
The writing reminds me so much of Stephanie Gerber and Colleen Hoover had a baby! The premise of this book also gives me “The in Between” with Joey King and I absolutely loved that film.
Do you ever know that you are going to break your own heart but do it anyway. This book is exactly that. And I wholeheartedly give my heart and soul to Sloan Harlow to destroy.
