This was a fun, refreshing, exciting thriller that I read in two sittings. I thought I had the ending figured out right at the beginning, but I still kept reading because I was enjoying the pacing and the plot. Halfway through I began to have my doubts about the ending, and by the end I realized I had completely missed the twist ending and had not, in fact, figured out the ending. This is the mark of a fantastic thriller to me -- engaging, exciting, and unpredictable. I appreciated how the author wrote teenagers like actual teenagers -- moody, stuck in their brains, scared to talk to adults. I think it is refreshing to see male characters that are not all sexy and philosophical. I think a few of the romance parts were a little bit forced and cringey, but seeing as the purpose of this book was not to be a romance novel, I was okay overlooking that for the sake of the thriller itself. Would read again, and will be recommending to others!
