Ella’s story is just unfolding as she looks back towards her best friends death and what happened and forward towards her senior year. I’m intrigued to find out the whole story as we shift through Ella’s senior year. This book is easy to read and full of teenage angst but also a much deeper darker view on what it’s like to lose your best friend at such a critical stage of life. What really happened? Who is to blame? How is Ella to move forward knowing what she knows? And how is she going to deal with Hayley’s old boyfriend Sawyer who she is getting closer and closer to? Is there more to Hayley and Sawyers relationship that she doesn’t know? As they get closer, will Ella find out dark secrets that she wished she didn’t? Only time will tell as Ella begins to dig into Hayley’s journal and find out the that maybe her relationship with Sawyer wasn’t as perfect as it seemed.
