I really like the premise of this - the description alone made me want to read this book. I’m categorizing this as a great young adult contemporary…and realistic enough without becoming unbearably annoying in terms of being bogged down by unnecessary angst. The storytelling flows well and it really feels like the book will be enjoyable to read. Seems like there will be a good mix of humor too, so the story doesn’t feel too heavy.
The main character seems likable.
So far the editing of the book is flawless. The story seems like it will be fairly paced (not too rushed or too slow). Nothing feels contrived, like the characters are forced to act a certain way just to make the story work. I’m happy to say there’s no insta-love here either.
Between the plot and characters, I’m hopeful this will remain a five star read! Excited to read the rest of the book.
