Let's Get Past Everyone Hates Me to Mystery

The everybody hates me because I killed my sister thus I am a pariah and emo (as she should be) situation. It feels slow probably because it is a psychological thriller. I just want story to get to the thriller portion.

The thing that stands out to me a lot is that they did not find Hayleys body.
Hayley body not being found = she is still alive. Did boyfriend and Hayley set up an entire plot? Or boyfriend found her later and killed her?
