I am always a little cautious when this sort of book is written by a man and uses quotes exclusively from men, at least in the preview. There is something about it that just doesn't ring true for me. Something is missing and I'm not sure what it is. The author definitely takes a more academic approach, for lack of a better term, which is off putting in it's own way. Something about the prose is unrelatable and unreachable to me the reader. At this point, do we really need another self-help book telling us to aim higher, go deeper, go within, etc. Haven't we reached our saturation point yet? Apparently not, as these types of book continue to be published and consumed. I guess it isn't for me, which is OK. There is probably an audience out there. Or in here.
