At first I thought that the book would be very long winded and like many stereotypical self help books, but this ones seems to break the norm. Upfront, Deitch lets the reader know that they can use the book however they wish. That it isn't entirely meant to be read from start to finish or even one period of time. Those qualities really captured me and told me that this book is definitely worth digging into. Going from those few pages, Deitch opens up and flows like a river into my mind and before I knew it, the excerpt was done. I wanna keep digging.

As for the cover, I really like the minimalist approach. It's clear and to the point, but also gives you this feeling that there's more to it. It's like a caricature of life: it seems simple, but looking deeper into it, it's deeper than it seems. The coloring of the title also really appeals to me with the mellow and calming colors. It's beautiful.
