It's a Good Start, but Needs Improvement

The information from this self-help book as far as I can tell is mostly common sense (of course, many self-help books are that way). However, I was expecting a bit more.

Let's start with the good:
~The quotes are a brilliant addition and are great for introducing new concepts.
~The advice, as I said, is rooted in common sense and experience.
~There are some studies used in the book.
~There are questions to reflect on.
~There are anecdotes that tie directly into the advice and help give it context

Now with what could be improved:
~Many studies, definitions, and advice are not cited. What study and from where? ~Where did you pick up some of this advice that you received from somewhere else?
~There should be more headings to separate the information. At times the information flowed into another subject without the reader being really aware. While that is great for a story, for a self-help "manual," that is not as desired. The reader should know when another concept is beginning, or another angle is being used to address an issue.
~The author says this is a manual but there is no place to answer questions. The advice and questions are solid, but it would benefit the reader if the questions were more spread out in the manual where the advice and stories are, so they can immediately self-reflect.

In summary, this could be a great self-help book but it falls short due to the omissions of the sourcing of information and a lack of place to write and reflect on what the author has discovered for himself.

Book Cover
The cover looks like the person is going into the afterlife. I like it, but it looks more like a spiritual book cover.
