My first impression of The Dirty Dozen was that it was just okay for me. It didn't have the magic that some books have that tend to draw me in. There was a lot of jargon as well, which may make it more difficult for people that aren't formerly in law enforcement or who read widely in this genre.
The writing was decent enough, with plenty of descriptions, but it just wasn't the book for me.
