I remember being intrigued with the first look of Corrupted Humors as well as fascinated by the cover art, so I was beyond thrilled when I won a copy and was able to read the complete novel. It turned out to be as interesting as I had anticipated. It follows the story of reporter/investigator Owen Burk as he investigates the oddest crime likely of his career. The novel opens as a man explodes in the operating table. His rich cousin hired Burk to find out the truth of what happened and why. As he does this he becomes fascinated and obsessed even with many of the people he becomes in contact with during his quest. In particular, he is drawn to the wife of the victim and falls for her quickly. This book had twists and turns and I enjoyed it very much.
