This reminded me of We Were Villains, but the take on this is more of a blend of what you think you know and what is actually known. How much can a story tell about a person? The excerpt leaves more to be discovered and has an unusual way of telling things, but I found it intriguing the story it tried to say was fake and the one is tried to say was real.
