This is such a clever and witty book, I could easily see myself obsessed with it. It’s got the feeling of promising a traditional adventure novel, but completely flips it on its head. I loved that the narrator blatantly acknowledges his own fibs and outright lies at times, just for the sake of having a good story. It’s like hearing a fishing story from an avid angler: you know it’s got the baseline of truth, but they just can’t help adding the fluff for pageantry. I loved this sneak peek and I see this book doing incredibly well for itself.
